Capitol Television News Service provides Television stations with updates on items being covered that day. The first update in the morning is the "preliminary rundown." The "prelim" describes the items CTNS is efforting to cover for the day. The second update received is the "midday" update. The "midday" informs subscribers which items from the preliminary rundown are going to be fed. The final update is " scripts".  Within an hour after the news feed, final scripts are sent. These are the final versions of stories we have covered and are in script form. Scripts contain anchor lead ins, transcribed sound bites with completed names and title information, plus video descriptions and lengths.  If legislation is still pending or information is not final, we provide contact phone numbers in editor's notes following the story script. You can always contact ctns reporters for any follow up or questions on feed items. We also take soundbite and story requests from subscribing stations. While requests generally feed after the items in the rundowns, we make every effort to ensure those requests are on the feed.

Contact Jonathan Underland for subscription information.
